About the Role: As our Sommelier you will make sure our wine offering to the guests is both exciting, interactive and refined. Our restaurant will exude charisma and create warmth which you will play a key part in bringing every day. You will have fantastic interpersonal skills and passionate about exceptional service for our guests.
Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain an extensive wine list that reflects our restaurant's concept and guest preferences.
- Conduct regular tastings and training sessions for the front-of-house staff to enhance their knowledge and service skills.
- Provide exceptional wine recommendations and pairings for guests, ensuring a memorable dining experience.
- Collaborate with the Beverage Manager and the Culinary team to create unique pairings that elevate seasonal menus.
- Assist in Managing inventory, ordering, and cost control for the wine program.
- Stay updated on industry trends, new wine releases, and market pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
Ideal candidate will have: - A minimum of 1 year of experience in wine service in a restaurant or a related field
- Certification from the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) at the Certified Sommelier level or higher.
- WSET Level 2 or 3 certification preferred
- Strong knowledge of global wine regions, varietals, and pairings
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey wine knowledge clearly and enthusiastically.
- A flexible schedule, with the ability to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays.
