Welcome to The Journey Project!

Our community is growing in action alongside youth, families, and educators for inclusive critical education. We grow in awareness, compassion, and action daily. To support the larger community around ours, we have set about providing this website as a resource, a place to build community and share in solidarity for action.

Navigating our community-sourced website is a goal of our network. To learn a little more about the history of The Journey Project and the variety of ways we may be able to collaborate alongside one another, consider visiting Our Work page. We hope that our community’s stories inspire you along your journey.

Visit our Families and Educators page to find resources that have helped our community along our journey. Families, this page is comprised of trusted organizations that are a wealth of information we hope will provide relevant information for you and your family. Educator friends, information from these sources may guide you on how to more deeply support, affirm, and advocate for your students and their families by creating inclusive, courageous environments for all students on your campus.

If you are looking for textual resources, check our Curated Resources page. This is a community project called The Inclusive Classroom Libraries Project where you will find an ongoing list of ever updated young children’s picture books, middle-grade chapter books, middle school novels, and resource books.

Finally, welcome to The Journey Project’s blog, The Journey, a community space to share writings and reflections related to our lived experiences. An important part of our organization’s mission is to uplift our community’s collective and individual voices, so you will find articles written by both kid and adult writers. We hope you join the journey.

If you would like to connect, share, and collaborate with our community in action toward creating more inclusive, equitable spaces in your community, connect with us by emailing us at journey {at} thejourneyproject {dot} us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Welcome to the journey,
