Job Description
Truss designer reads residential and commercial plans to design wood trusses using software for roof, floor. The designer communicates both verbally and written to members of the team, customers and production staff to ensure the designs are accurate and to the customers specifications.
Duties include
Read and interpret architectural and structural drawings
Design structural components
Produce individual plans and final layouts for roof and floor trusses.
Resolve any discrepancies as needed
Qualifications
Basic computer knowledge.
Knowledge of construction industry preferred
Strong math skills
Ability to communicate orally and written
Strong work ethic
