Spicy Affair Indian Cuisine is a local family owned restaurant in Swedesboro/Woolwich, NJ. Located in the historic old Swedesboro National Bank building in downtown Swedesboro.

The ideal candidate has a strong passion for culinary excellence and a keen eye for detail. You will assist the Executive Chef in providing exceptional food quality and presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist and work with the kitchen staff in all aspects of food production. Cutting, chopping raw food and follwoing recipes to finished dish prepration
  • Establish and maintain a regular maintenance schedule for all kitchen areas and equipment
  • Reviewing menus and food production instructions and preparing meals following restaurant menus and recipes while ensuring portion-control standards
  • Following restaurant sanitation standards by effectively cleaning while working, including preparation and serving areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors, using appropriate cleaning schedules and charts
  • Food preparation and setup of dishes to serve food, attractively

Qualifications

  • 2+ years' of culinary or kitchen experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Attention to cleanliness and detail
  • Team player
