Job Description The Washington Post's FP&A department is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with expertise in financial modeling, planning, and analysis. This role requires advanced Excel skills but also a sense of creativity and curiosity in the constantly evolving operation of a digital media business with a focus on the B2B Subscriptions and Licensing businesses within the Post. The desired candidate will be self-sufficient and self-directed in managing their core FP&A responsibilities, connect details to the big picture, and communicate timely business insights to inform management decision making. This will be a highly visible role that will support the company's Growth team, with the ultimate mission of supporting the financial sustainability of the Post's business model. Motivation You want to become a trusted FP&A partner to key stakeholders through solid technical analytical work and consistent performance You are organized, driven, and eager to make connections across the organization You are a self-starter with an ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas Responsibilities Assist in the preparation of annual operating plan, quarterly forecast and long-range plan for the B2B groups within the Growth Organization; B2B Subscriptions, B2B Content Licensing and Partnerships and the newly-launched WP Intelligence. Provide regular ad hoc financial analysis to finance leaders, cross-functional teams and executives to support business strategy and tactical decisions around product testing Serve as primary FP&A liaison to relevant business stakeholders to optimize operational agility Proactively identify and highlight opportunities for financial processes and database improvements to streamline processes and workflows by partnering with other members of the finance team. Provide key stakeholders with variance analysis and insight by supporting Financial Accounting on monthly and quarterly closes. The salary range for this position is: 85,100.00 - 127,700.00 USD Annual The actual salary within this range will depend on individual skills, experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
