Job Description
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Middle School History Teacher to join our hybrid learning program. This unique role involves delivering engaging, high-quality instruction in both in-person and remote settings. Students attend classes on campus two days per week and participate in home-based learning for three days. The ideal candidate will foster a Christ-centered learning environment, collaborate closely with parents (co-teachers), and support student academic growth and development in a hybrid educational model.
Key Responsibilities
Instructional Delivery
Design and teach dynamic history lessons that cater to both in-person and home-based learning.
Provide engaging, curriculum-aligned instruction on campus twice a week.
Develop clear, structured at-home assignments and instructional materials to guide student learning during remote days.
Offer virtual instructional support, including check-ins and resources, to ensure continued academic progress during home-based learning days.
Parental Collaboration
Maintain consistent and open communication with parents, providing them with guidance, resources, and feedback to support their child's learning at home.
Assist parents in establishing a productive and effective home learning environment.
Conduct virtual or in-person meetings with parents as needed to discuss student progress, challenges, and achievements.
Curriculum Development
Develop lesson plans that seamlessly integrate both in-person and remote learning experiences.
Utilize technology to enhance student engagement and ensure continuity between classroom and home instruction.
Work collaboratively with fellow teachers to align the curriculum with the hybrid program's objectives.
Assessment and Feedback
Evaluate student work from both in-person and home learning days, providing constructive and timely feedback.
Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
Utilize various assessment tools to gauge student understanding and adjust lesson plans accordingly.
Classroom and Online Management
Establish and maintain a positive, Christ-centered learning environment in both physical and virtual classrooms.
Set clear expectations for student behavior, assignments, and deadlines.
Utilize learning management systems and digital platforms to streamline communication and classroom management.
Professional Development & Team Collaboration
Actively participate in team meetings, professional development workshops, and planning sessions.
Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices, strategies, and resources to enhance the hybrid learning experience.
Spiritual & Mission Alignment
Demonstrate a clear testimony of personal faith in Jesus Christ and maintain a lifestyle of biblical integrity.
Be an active member of a local church community.
Fully support and uphold the mission and values of the school.

Qualifications & Requirements
Education
Bachelor's degree in Education (minimum requirement).
ACSI Certification (or willingness to obtain).
Experience
2-3 years of teaching experience, preferably in a hybrid, online, or blended learning environment.
Experience in Christian education is strongly preferred.
Familiarity with hybrid or remote learning technologies and instructional platforms.
Technical & Computer Skills
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.).
Ability to create and manage digital resources for online learning platforms (e.g., Google Classroom, Renweb).
Comfortable with integrating technology into lesson planning and classroom instruction.
