Job Description

Product Manager - NYC (Hybrid, In-office)

About Us:

WireScreen is a Sequoia-backed startup building a global intelligence platform to power safer and more efficient international trade, starting with due diligence on the companies and people that matter. We were founded off a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigation, and our team includes folks who’ve helped scale Dropbox, Peloton, and Compass. We work across a wide range of private and public-sector household names and have a long and exciting journey ahead of us. You’ll have unprecedented opportunities to solve tough, global problems while accelerating your career.

Your Role: Product Manager

As a PM, you’ll work with just about everyone at the company, engineering and design most closely, to deliver best-in-class experiences to our users. As an early product hire, you’ll work directly with our Head of Product to split work and execute across a wide range of product areas including UX, API, and our data pipeline. Internally, you’ll champion both current and future users.

You’ll set direction across the full development lifecycle, from research and discovery down to roadmapping and execution. In doing so, you’ll speak with both users and prospects to help shape our business's next leg of growth. Among your primary partners are (1) a high-performing eng team, (2) a group of deep domain experts in international trade and diligence, and (3) a go-to-market squad with folks of both public- and private-sector backgrounds.

The ability to take ownership and a sense of urgency are table stakes for where we are as a business – growing quickly and faster every day. Your scope of responsibility will be as wide and deep as you can handle.

What You'll Do

  • Drive product development for key user-facing features
  • Drive team execution by defining epics, speccing features, and stories, overseeing and supporting the implementation
  • Work with both customers and prospects to understand and define core problems that inform future development
  • Collaborate with our go-to-market folks and researchers to identify opps for iterative improvement across both data and UX
  • Support the expansion and resiliency of our data pipelines

Who You Are

  • [P0] 3+ years of product management experience
  • [P0] Track record of shipping impactful customer-facing features in fast-paced, fluid environments
  • [P0] Excellent communication skills with non-eng stakeholders, coupled with depth control – knowing when to dive vs. skim
  • [P0] Positive energy
  • [P0] Deep engineering empathy
  • [P1] Engineering experience or educational equivalent
  • [P1] Experience working with large datasets at scale in B2B
