As a Pre-K Teacher at the
award-winning Primrose School of Evergreen, San Jose, CA you will provide your 4 and 5-year-old students a fun, safe environment for students to discover new concepts with confidence. Using our provided daily schedule and research informed curriculum, you will have an opportunity to meet each child at their individual level and help guide them through small group instruction as they grow in their ability to absorb new content and understand increasingly complex information. Enjoy the freedom to modify lessons in order to meet children where they are in the learning cycle as you help them refine kindergarten readiness skills while nurturing their social, emotional, cognitive, creative and physical development.
What Your Experience Looks like as a Primrose Teacher:
Curriculum provided - With clear daily plans, necessary resources, and support so you can focus your time in the classroom on forming connections with the childrenand spend your time outside of school focused on yourself. - Carefully paired co-teacher who complements your teaching style
- Work with your co-teacher to implement the lesson plans from the research-informed Balanced Learning curriculum.

Qualifications:
MUST have 12 core Early Childhood Education units with a grade of C or better required. (Child development, Child-family-community, two Curriculum classes)- Must have patience and a strong desire to love and nurture young children
- Work experience in a licensed childcare facility preferred
- Must meet required state background check
- Must be able to work on an iPad to enter children's daily logs and write incident reports and messages to parents.
Responsibilities:
- Engage, interact, and supervise children in positive ways to support their growth and learning
- Provides an safe, attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages creativity, exploration, and decision-making by the children
- Plan with the Education Coach and implement the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule using the Primrose School curriculum outlines and materials
- Complete, supervise and monitor continual evaluation of each childs developmental needs
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and childcare regulations.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
