Program Overview

The SpecialtyRx Pharmacy Internship Program offers foreign pharmacy graduates, pharmacy students, and recent graduates an opportunity to gain practical experience in a structured and supportive environment . Our program is aligned with New Jersey Board of Pharmacy requirements and allows candidates to complete their 1,500 internship hours under the supervision of licensed pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in medication dispensing, preparation, and inventory management under the guidance of licensed pharmacists.
• Gain exposure to long-term care pharmacy operations , regulatory compliance, and controlled substance management.
• Work with pharmacists and healthcare professionals to review medication orders, ensure accuracy, and provide patient-centered care.
• Learn about pharmacy law and ethics , including NJ Board of Pharmacy regulations, HIPAA compliance, and insurance processing.
• Participate in quality assurance initiatives and medication therapy management programs.
• Understand pharmacy informatics , electronic health records, and prescription management systems.

Eligibility Requirements

• Current pharmacy students, recent graduates, or foreign-trained pharmacists seeking internship hours for licensure.

• Must have or be eligible for New Jersey pharmacy intern registration .
• Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
