Paralegal

We are seeking a Paralegal to become a part of our team! You will provide overall support to attorneys' business needs. Erskine Law Group is currently seeking a entry level full-time paralegal or legal secretary, for its office in Rochester, MI.

The successful candidate will balance multiple tasks, have strong communication and writing skills, pay close attention to detail and adhere to strict confidentiality. Knowledge of office procedures, civil procedure and legal terminology, ability to manage attorney calendar, and knowledge of state court litigation filing and service procedures, including e- filing, are required.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct research to support legal proceedings

• Assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents

• Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes

• Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

• Record and store client information Qualifications:

• Familiarity with legal research

• Ability to prioritize and multitask

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Deadline and detail-oriented

• Experience in California is preferred but not required Preferred Skills:

• Lemon Law/warranty/consumer law knowledge

• Auto industry experience

• Negotiation skills

• Analytical reasoning skills

• Attention to detail

• Ability to meet deadlines/prioritize

• Communication skills, both verbal and written

• Proficient with computers/technology

• Ability to work collaboratively

• Professionalism
