Mill Operator

Monroe MI

$16/Hr - Paid Weekly

1st shift

Monday - Friday 6 am to 4:30 pm

Responsible for machine set ups, quality and manufacturing of wood/lumber products. Maintains correct production reports.

Primary Responsibilities

• Operate Production machinery such as CNC and various saws/cutting machinery to manufacture wood/lumber products
• Perform equipment change-over’s
• Complete Pre-Shift/start up equipment inspection
• Responsible for quality control. Make adjustments as necessary to produce product within specifications. Reject product outside specifications
• Operate within standard operation procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety Analysis (JSAs)
• Complete daily production logs
• Clean and maintain work area
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 6 months experience operating production/mill machinery
• Ability to read a tape measure and follow specific work instructions
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively is required
