Job Description

The Executive Coach will utilize NYCM's leadership coaching model to: implement and engage in effective leadership coaching of Business Unit Managers, Division Managers, and BPT alongside their leaders, helping to support and grow leaders, especially as they face new challenges or prepare to take on more responsibilities. They will coach leaders to exhibit the leadership behaviors found in the NYCM Leadership Success Profile (LSP), while providing leadership guidance based on team Insights colors. They will work with leaders to unlock their full potential, create a healthy team environment, and ensure a viable leadership bench. They will identify any leadership skill gaps, as well as improve and develop new and existing leadership skill sets. They will work directly with leaders to inspire self-reflection and develop emotional intelligence. The coach will work with leaders one on one or in groups to help support them to reach their full leadership potential. They will coach to NYCM's North Star, mission, and core values.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Conduct individual coaching sessions in person, via phone, or video conferencing.
  • Provide a trusting and secure environment to allow for data security and an open environment.
  • Discover, clarify, and align with what the BU Manager/DM/BPT and their leader wants to achieve.
  • Help leader develop realistic and effective action plans for leadership growth.
  • Encourage employee self-discovery.
  • Elicit employee-generated solutions and strategies.
  • Assist employees with identifying, clarifying, and creating individualized goals.
  • Develop action plans related to employee goals.
  • Hold the employee responsible and accountable.
  • Assess and measure the success of the individualized goals, recommending next steps as appropriate.
  • Build strong and trusting relationships with internal stakeholders including employees, managers and Employee Experience teammates.
  • Development of coaching curriculum and leadership development at all levels.
  • Leadership development training.
  • Provide LSP education.
  • Provide data and metrics to Division Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and an ICF Executive Coaching Certification or equivalent associate level Executive Coaching Certification.

OR

  • At least 3 years experience as an organizational or leadership coach.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent understanding of NYCM leadership expectations.
  • Excellent understanding of corporate and divisional objectives and direction.
  • Ability to handle high level difficult conversations and think quickly.
  • Ability to handle confidential/sensitive information in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
  • Ability to work autonomously and independently and to effectively prioritize competing tasks from a variety of sources; adaptable and capable of navigating ambiguity.
  • Independent thinker with sound judgment, who knows when to escalate issues.
  • A growth mindset.

Payband 9 / 40 hours per week / Hybrid -3 days in office

Salary Range: $100,000 - $172,000
