Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY:

The HIM Director is responsible for organization-wide data integrity, privacy, and security. Oversees health information to ensure that all agencies meet clinical, legal, and ethical standards.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management/Administration, Masters preferred. Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) credential, or 5+ HIM experience in a leadership capacity.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle objects; controls, reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; talk or hear; taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift up to 15 pounds.
