Duties

• Organize and maintain patient health information in electronic and paper formats
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality of medical records
• Retrieve and deliver medical records as requested by healthcare providers
• Review records for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
• Assist with coding and billing processes
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate documentation

Skills

• Proficient in medical records management systems and software
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

As Director of Health Information Management, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate and confidential patient health information. Requirements :

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Certification in RHIT and RHIA
• Prefer candidate to have a bachelor's degree in HIM or a related field
• Previous experience in medical records management or related field is a plus
