Pay: 180k to 300k (will be based on experience)

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Controller with a strong background in commercial real estate/realty to oversee financial operations, data consolidation, and reporting. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Workday (Financials), excels in financial data cleansing and consolidation, and is well-positioned to take on a strategic leadership role. This is an opportunity to play a critical role in financial oversight, drive process improvements, and support strategic growth initiatives within a dynamic real estate environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Establish new business processes to optimize financial operations and reporting efficiency as part of the organization's transition to Workday.
• Oversee all financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting for the organization.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
• Lead financial consolidation efforts across multiple entities, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.
• Maintain and optimize the Workday Financials environment for financial processes, ensuring seamless data integration.
• Perform financial data cleansing and validation to improve reporting efficiency.
• Oversee cash flow management, financial controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leadership on financial strategy, investment analysis, and capital planning.
• Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of accountability and growth.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and internal controls.
• Support M&A activities, financial modeling, and due diligence as needed.

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a strong background in commercial real estate.
• CPA, CMA, or CFA certification preferred.
• Extensive experience working with Workday Financials in a finance and accounting capacity.
• Strong expertise in financial consolidation, data cleansing, and reporting.
• Proven leadership ability with experience managing teams and driving process improvements.
• Deep knowledge of GAAP, tax compliance, and real estate financial regulations.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide strategic insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience partnering with executives and investors.
• M&A experience, including financial modeling and due diligence, is a plus.
