Job Summary

The General Manager will be people focused with the proven ability to build, train, and motivate a high performing team and maintain all aspects of daily operations. The pay for this role is $75,000/annually plus bonus structure.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below. This role requires the highest level of customer service and maintaining the store to our industry leading standards, leading by example with high integrity and excellent communication skills.

  • Overall responsibility for all day-to-day dispensary activities and processes to ensure that operations run smoothly.
  • Keep up to date on and ensure all local, state and Bureau of Cannabis Control regulations are maintained at all times
  • Provide leadership in all departmental operations such as: cash management, inventory management inventory auditing, scheduling, marketing, and purchasing in the most cost effective and fully compliant manner.
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual sales reviews, and reports; provide suggestions for improvement to ownership.
  • Responsible for training and supervising all departmental employees to ensure compliance with SOP's.
  • Responsible for overseeing all cash management procedures including:
    • Transactions
    • Opening
    • Closing
    • Deposits
    • Reporting
    • Reconciling cash

Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

  • Must be 21 years old or older
  • Must submit and pass a Department of Criminal Justice criminal background check (LiveScan) and any other background screening requirements
  • General knowledge of cannabis products, paraphernalia, and industry trends
  • 5+ years in a fast paced retail environment (2+ years in management role)
  • Bachelor's degree in business, management, or related field of study preferred.
  • Ability to manage a team in a highly regulated fast paced environment
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (word/excel)
  • Proficient computing skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to critically think and problem solve without direction
  • Must be able to work weekends and some holidays
  • Education/Experience: to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:
  • Experience working in a heavily regulated industry
  • Experience in high volume sales
  • Experience with Greenbits POS
  • Physical Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to:
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be able to sit for up to 8 hours at a time
  • Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds safely and properly.
  • Continually able to reach overhead, bend, squat, kneel, and carry product, necessary for customer service, inventory restock, and store merchandising.
  • Ability to carry boxes, products, and other necessary store related items.
  • Ability to regularly perform store maintenance items: sweep, mop, vacuum, empty trash, maintain all areas of business including back stockroom, employee lunchroom, restrooms.

Compensation - $75,000/year plus bonus structure
