Job Details: Business Development Manager This is a brand new opportunity for a Business Development Manager to help develop a pre-clinical CRO offering from the ground up. We have a unique value proposition in the market, with a very well established lab, and an extremely strong scientific pedigree. As part of our wider CDMO offering, this is a unique opportunity to take a new offering to market – our scope of services is quite rare. Interest in inhalation is growing rapidly, especially in the US. Your role will be to identify where companies are in their services journey, and making them aware of our points of differentiation. Partnering closely with the US-Based director of Business Development, and our Singaporean team, you will help grab our customer’s attention, build relationships, and identify opportunities. Some of these projects may be longer-term, and our pre-clinical toxicology CRO is one part of a larger organisation, so you will need to think strategically and partner effectively with the wider business. Core Responsibilities: Support and contribute to the Business Development teams agreed annual sales tactical plan to secure new and repeat customer business. Perform research and analysis of assigned territory and working with the relevant Head of Business Development and Inside Sales, stratify and prioritize potential new customers. Work closely with Inside Sales to handle inbound qualified leads from potential customers. Identify and develop contacts at new customer companies to secure additional RFP’s and RFI’s to support greater account penetration. Ensure technical support requirements from functions across the company are fully utilized (e.g. during quoting phase) to increase likelihood of customer success. Schedule a requisite number of face-to-face meetings and/or remote/on-line client presentations to open new business development opportunities with new accounts. Work with Head, Business Development Director, Technical Operations and Quality teams to ensure effective client meetings. Coordinate with Proposals Team to support the response to, and timely completion of RFIs and RFPs. Provide and be accountable for accurate pipeline forecasting and quarterly review information. Continuously enhance knowledge of client decision makers, influencers, and procurement office requirements. Attend international Industry Conferences as required by the company; includes pre-meeting planning and post meeting reporting and follow up. Role Requirements: Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience. Previous sales or business development experience with a proven and demonstrable track record of success in sales generation. Previous scientific or technical experience and/or knowledge gained in preclinical toxicology. Background in CRO/CDMO sales, ideally in preclinical toxicology service sales. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage with decision makers and build relationships at all levels. Highly organized with ability to multitask, prioritize time while maintaining attention to detail. Passionate about sales, technology and meeting the needs of customers. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc. and customer relationship management tools, such as Salesforce. Why Join Us?
