Position: Brand Ambassador Mon-Fri 11:00am-6:00pm

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Reports to: Canvass & Events Manager

Hours: Fulltime , 35 hours per week(some weekends and nights required)

About the job

The Brand Ambassador is responsible for promoting the company's product and services. Their duties will include generating qualified leads by setting appointments through door-to-door canvassing as well as attending in-person events.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate appointments that go directly to consultants while door-to-door canvassing, with a minimum of 6 complete appointments with new potential customers per month as well as a 40% conversion rate from all opportunities to complete appointments.
  • Collect contact information of prospective customers at the door.
  • Identify customer motivations and conduct pitches.
  • Be knowledgeable about the solar industry including the benefits of going solar, incentives, and process.
  • Educate homeowners about all the benefits of going solar, aligning with Brooklyn SolarWorks values.
  • Become familiar with Brooklyn SolarWorks brand and mission
  • Provide outreach at in-person events by working a tent and table and flagging down potential customers and generating brand awareness.
  • Accurately keep records of customer interactions in BSW databases.
  • Attend daily virtual morning check ins as well as weekly in person team meetings and trainings in Gowanus, Brooklyn.

Required Skill Set

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Strong customer service skills/customer focused.
  • Good computer/technology skills. (Google Docs and email)
  • Strong interpersonal skills, build relationships and network.
  • A positive attitude and ability to keep moving forward.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Required to walk, climb stairs, and stand for long periods of time in all weather permitting conditions year round.

Preferred Skill Set

  • Six months canvassing experience preferred.
  • Experience with lead tracking software. (Spotio or similar)
  • Interest in the Solar/Sustainability Industry
  • Experience in sales is preferred
  • Passion for Brooklyn SolarWorks mission
