This internship will be based on-site at our headquarters in Mountain View, CA. You will: Find and triage relevant driving logs to understand the current quality of the Waymo Driver's behavior and identify target areas of improvement Create evaluation frameworks that reflect these target areas of improvement Design, implement, and iterate on ML modeling features towards these target behavior improvements You have: Currently pursuing a PhD degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Robotics or a similar discipline Hands-on experience with Deep Learning, Generative Models Python coding Familiar with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, Tensorflow We prefer: Experience building ML models for trajectory prediction or robotics Experience with robotics (e.g. trajectory optimization, decision-making, motion planning, controls) C++ coding Note: This will be a hybrid onsite internship position.
